Mumbai: Agilent Technologies Inc. announced the acquisition of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) virtual control technology, which can help create innovative analytical solutions for laboratory testing. It will integrate the software known as ACIES with its gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GS/MS) platforms with the aim of improving the productivity, efficiency and accuracy of laboratories at high throughput installed worldwide.

The acquired ACIES automates the labor-intensive task of gas chromatography or mass spectrometry data analysis, improving the efficiency of laboratory workflow, from sampling to report. The technology will be integrated into Agilent’s MassHunter software package for LC/MS and GC/MS instruments.
